Gilbert Arizona Temple

As many of you have seen, our Church has many Temples throughout the world.

Temples are houses of the Lord, the most sacred structures on the earth.
Written on every temple, it says,
"Holiness to the Lord, House of the Lord"

Recently, in my home town, they just built the Gilbert Temple. From what I have heard and seen, It is Beautiful.

In the temple, we have the opportunity to perform sacred ordinances. For example, we do baptisms for those that have passed away.

Also, we have the opportunity to be sealed as families.
This means, it isn't until "death do you part." But that marriage lasts forever, even after death. Families are Forever.

I am being married, and sealed, in the Temple after my mission to my future husband. I cannot wait to have my eternal family.

Squirrel

Yesterday, my companion pet a squirrel.

Like, a real squirrel.

It was sitting in a tree and she saw it, ran towards its, and it let her pet it's tail. TWICE!

Me and the member, we were with, couldn't stop laughing.

Why

God, and our Savior Jesus Christ, loves us.

That is why I am a missionary.

So I can share that with others.

Miracles, Miracles...

Yesterday, me and my companion were about to leave to go work. We had a few plans for the night, but nothing set in stone.
We felt randomly that we needed to go see a woman that was investigating the church who we hadn't seen in a while.
We stopped by and realized this woman had been sick for a while and needed some upliftment. We had a great visit with her.
Not only were we able to go visit her, but one of her friends that we had talked to and taught in the past was there. We were able to answer a lot of questions and help her understand more about what we believe.

Not to mention, I was able to do it all in Spanish. Booyah.

Well, Here I go!

I decided to go forward and create a mission blog.

A lot of reasons, really. I want others to be able to understand how and what I am doing as a missionary.

I also want to be able to help answer any questions that many of you have.

I am currently serving in the cold Northern Virginia area, as a missionary for my church; The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

I am hoping that this blog will be a success, and I will have the diligence to update it frequently (Let's pray for that!)
